The Intech s quoted text file is dated 2006 and basically explains the way the kext file works for the following:
MacOS X 10.2 or later
All Macintosh G3ʼs except Rev A Blue White G3
All Macintosh G4ʼs which do not currently support extended capacity drives
Internal ATA Hard Disk Drive greater than 128 Gigabytes in size
I am currently running Mac OS X 10.4.11 which has the compatible IntechATA6.kext file in order to have the whole 160GB HDD capability available in my system G4 limited to 128 Gigabytes.
Recently Intech released a compatible Mac OS X 10.5 kext file but the PDF doesn t help a lot, because it does not says anywhere the filename for Mac OS X 10.5.x.
I am testing/installing it in an external HDD which has a fresh 10.5 and the software installer states that the v3.0 kext is properly installed, but each time I go to folder
/System/Library/Extensions/
I am not able to spot any IntechATA filename /sigh/
